VCMI is an open-source engine that recreates the full Heroes of Might and Magic III experience while adding modern conveniences and mod support for players who want a refreshed classic. It runs the original game content including expansions when you provide your own HoMM3 Complete Edition files — owning the original game is required to play. VCMI adapts the interface for touchscreens, supports HD visuals, custom maps and offline play, and adds multiplayer and mod-launcher features so both veteran players and newcomers can enjoy the original gameplay with optional community enhancements.
